Joan Duncan - Club President

Joan our president sadly passed away August 2024. She will be much missed.

Joan always enjoyed her time with Winnersh and District Ballroom Dance Club where she made so many good friends over the nearly 45 years she spent with the Club. Joan served on the committee in various roles for many years, including latterly as treasurer and finally as the club's first female Honorary President. She would be sad to miss the 50th anniversary in 2025.

A little bit of detective work has revealed that Joan actually first attended a dance class in Winnersh with her late husband, Alan on 26th September 1979. The club then met on Wednesday evenings at The Forest boys' secondary school, before the club then moved shortly afterwards to the Community Centre for its regular Thursday evenings.
